Northwestern Elements: Managing and Tracking Scholarly Outputs Online
This class provides an overview of Northwestern Elements, Northwestern Medicine’s system for collecting, managing, and showcasing scholarly outputs. Designed for both faculty and departmental administrators ("super users"), the session covers how Elements supports publication management, reporting, faculty profiles, and research visibility. Participants will gain practical experience navigating the system and learn strategies for maintaining accurate and comprehensive records.

At the completion of this class, the participant will:
- Become familiar with Northwestern Elements
- Know how to log in and navigate the home page
- Learn how to impersonate another user and manage publications
- Understand the importance of optimizing search settings and automatic claiming
