SUMMARY:Conducting a Systematic Review
DESCRIPTION:This class provides an overview of resources to facilitate the
preparation and reporting of a systematic review using the Preferred
Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta Analysis Protocols
(PRISMA-P) checklist as a tool to guide the review process.
\n\n“Protocols of systematic reviews and meta-analyses allow for planning
and documentation of review methods\, act as a guard against arbitrary
decision making during review conduct\, enable readers to assess for the
presence of selective reporting against completed reviews\, and\, when made
publicly available\, reduce duplication of efforts and potentially prompt
collaboration.” (Shamseer et al.\, 2015)\n\nA well-done systematic review
starts with a protocol. Let us show you how to get your review off to the
best possible start.\n\nAt the completion of this class\, participants
will:\n\n\n	Identify key components in the systematic review
process.\n	Develop a robust protocol using the Preferred Reporting Items
for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Protocols(PRISMA-P)
checklist.\n	Identify tools and strategies to capture data for the PRISMA
 flow diagram.\n
